"The one who was laughing at me... the one who thought I was embarrassing... was me after all."

Firstly, some thoughts from my initial viewing. "Shino-chan wa jibun no namae ga ienai" is a film that stings with how relatable it is; not just to those who've suffered speech impediments, but to all those who are insecure and lack a place in the world. The pain of rejection, casual cruelties, and frustration at oneself isn't soothed by tactless words of encouragement, nor is it truly defeated by the kindness and empathy of others. Shino runs and runs away, whether it is on her two feet or by fruitlessly attempting to circumvent her stuttering. Even when Kayo chases after her and Tsuyoshi attempts to make remands for his teasing, she deflects their understanding behaviours. Alone and having realised that Kayo's faith towards her has never wavered even as the latter was abandoned, Shino discovers the key to 'say[ing] her own name'- expressing herself to the world. Or rather, that the lock which prevented her inability to express herself didn't just exist within her mouth, but also her mind; through her own perceived inadequacy and dare I say, self-loathing. An idiom comes to mind; "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink". Perhaps it should be reworded for this context; "You can give a student a stage to stand on but you can't coax the words out of her mouth."

Then, some pros and cons.
Pros
-Quite a lot is left to be inferred by the viewer; for example, why Shino avoids Tsuyoshi even after he amended for his crude behaviour AND she gave the green-light for him to join Shinokayo. Why Shino seems to suddenly demolish the progress she had made in the first half of the film and regresses into her antisocial shell once more. Why what appears to be a feel-good film has a slightly heartbreaking conclusion.

-Realistic characters; everyone presumably has at least one of them in their lives. The attention-seeking clown, the one who is sullen yet secretly kind, the well-meaning parent and teacher who are defeated by their lack of empathy, the one who is mocked and pushed down for something that they aren't born with. The first of these, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi really struck me with deja-vu because I honestly saw a bit of my past self in him. Basically, I sat down to have a bit of fun and ended up feeling attacked. Touchingly, the main trio are all connected by their insecurities and their desire to belong.

-Appropriately bittersweet (but ambiguous) ending. Adachi Shin didn't give viewers what they wanted; to see Shino and Kayo perform together again (possibly with Tsuyoshi on his tambourine). And that's how friendships often turn out, is it? Ties that are severed won't repair at an instant, let alone at all. Kayo never got to see Shinokayo fully materialise, Tsuyoshi couldn't even be "that one guy in the back" and Shino never acknowledged his apology. Even though the perfect worlds that the three characters envisaged were unattainable (the three are alone in the end and Shino's stutter hasn't vanished), steps have been made in the right direction. That's life, isn't it?

-Poorly executed but highly endearing musical scenes. Shino's off-key yet joyous singing voice, Kayo's inaccurate yet determined guitar strumming (and even worse singing) seemed to meld so well together. It was one of those moments in film where I felt pure happiness. This odd sense of harmony also seems to be a metaphor for the necessity of friendship to draw out one's potential (though as mentioned, the other half of the process can only be done by oneself).

-Excellent acting and chemistry. Despite their young ages, the performers pulled their weight to deliver moving, layered performances. Makita Aju in particular was just amazing.

Cons
-May be a pro for some, but the film sometimes falls into the territory of melodrama, or immerses the viewer a bit too long in a mire of sadness.
-(Also a pro) but how stuff is left for the viewer to infer. I watched this to unwind and ended up feeling more agitated by the end. Sometimes you just want a film that explains everything clearly to you. This ain't it, chief.
-The happiness and sadness in this film seem to alternate until the bittersweet ending. They could've been blended more thoroughly throughout the entire film.

A touching and realistic film overall.

I'm a really big fan of the manga and anime series of this film, so I probably should have gone into this expecting very little of it. The live action remakes of a series are usually quite bad and this one was no different; the plot starts quite a way into the story - giving little backstory, Satou didn't look like his part at all and seemed more like a late thirty-early forty year old man than the archaic person he is supposed to be, and it felt like the entire thing was rushed through.

Honestly the only good part about this was Tanaka was hot, the electro music across the battle scenes were pretty decent and it was at least recognisable as Ajin. A shame; this could have been a really good live action, but I feel like directors just use these as cash grab rather than creating decent content for the franchises.

Even though some parts to be honest could be a little boring for me, it still made me continue the movie until the end. The acting was a 10/10 but the story is quite complicated.

The computer effects were excellent but I don’t think I’ll rewatch this movie. It’s not bad at all but it requires a lot of concentration which some people may not enjoy.

This movie manages to made me cry in the last scenes and I look forward to seeing the next sequel! Hae Won Maek, the Captain, and Deok Cheon makes the best trio ❤️ Overall, 9/10 ⭐️

this wholesome movie really brought me to so much tears especially near the ending... I'm normally pretty cautious to watch tragic/sad labeled dramas cuz i know im going to feel super emo afterwards but trust me, this movie will definitely give you laughter, heartwarming moments, but also sadness and heartbreak :'( I still highly recommend this drama purely cuz of the amazing storyline, actors(omg DO eeek), and the character development. This movie will really get you thinking about your family :)

Sleepless Sex is a feature film that involves a kind of reflective philosophy of sexual acts, we have a main character who suffers from insomnia, feeling guilty about the acts of lust he commits throughout his life, and somehow feels blamed for it, as a result ends up unable to sleep and relives every scene in his mind. The cinematography is attractive, beautiful models make up the feminine scenario, there is a romance present, it is not a cold movie, on the contrary it is hot, for those who like a romanticized softcore, no doubt this movie is great considering that it has sequence.

I honestly don't know what it is about Demekin that feels a bit superficial tbh. Something about the relationships is very surface level but it's entertaining for the most part. It was mostly about friendship between the two main leads but I felt like they were not very expressive toward each other in the right way, they kept saying a bunch of stuff but you don't feel their bond. They just didn't do it right imo so it just fell flat on the whole. Over Drive with Mackenyu suffers from the same but at least the way Over Drive is made is very entertaining and especially Mackenyu not only sold me on his character but you see that love hate thing going on in his eyes, so you feel it too. But Demekin was very trite and even annoying in places. But the final showdown that was done well and so is the violence and most of the action so like I said, it's not terrible either but you won't be missing anything if you didn't watch it.

Well, for starters, I want to give a huge round of applause to all the casts and directors working on this film. This film is GOLD. It may seem a little boring in the start, but it becomes better and better gradually.

This story inspires me to never give up on anything or anyone you love. How Dong Gu enjoys taking care of Se Ha despite all the hassles and his disability. Something came onto my head while watching the movie: Some may say that no friend could love you more than they love themselves, but some could prove it wrong. This story proves to me that some friend could be as loving as your own family, and this inspires me most.

For reminders, prepare tissues when you reach the endings... Overall, 10000/10 ⭐️

The movies premise is good, and I will watch it again.
Will not spoil anything, but it’s worth a watch.
Some points will make you think, while others will make you grip your seat in anticipation.
If you have a dark humor like me, let’s just say that the music is on point in those moments.
There will always be people who will dislike this movie for the themes it portrays, and they are welcome to have their opinion, but to me this is a really good movie.
There is not much else to say.

In addition to its plentiful display of technology and breathtaking 3D visuals, The Climbers is perhaps more interesting as an attempt to add dramatic weight to action star credentials. However, there are concessions for its main audience, such as freely scaling an abandoned factory and quickly descending the mountain to register other people using whatever equipment is at their disposal. The movie itself is also long, although it is eminently watchable if you don't get carried away by jingoistic fervor.

Hey everyone!
I watched this last night, with GREAT EXPECTATIONS...it was so hyped that I thought , Ok let's watch this when it comes out.
I can't say I'm dissapointed, but neither can I say I understand what the HYPE was about.
For people who don't know the story, I think this is rather confusing, so even though I rated the story 8.5 in reality I only did so because I actually know the story as a whole.
I do believe the Hype was mainly because of the main lead actor Sean Xiao (UNTAMED), he does deliver, but... I enjoyed Li Qin in the role of Lu Xue Qi, I do believe she captured the depth of her character it was beautiful to see her throughout the movie, as for Meng Mei Qi in the role of Bi Yao, I enjoyed the funny bits.
Had no liking whatsoever for Tina Tang as Tian Ling Er...
I loved the brothers and their interactions...
So if you plan to watch this DO WATCH it was somewhat entertaining, BUT I have seen better and I've seen worse.
It's up to you ... Is it worth your time? It was worth mine, otherwise I would not even write about it...

XOXO
Uni

I am very critical on acting and story line. Not really have patient to sit on the chair watch some lacking weak acting movie. This movie had me sit on the chair and even after the movie. When I have friend ps asked for Chinese movie recommendation. I had them watch this one. The only actor I know is Tony Leung. He was famous in Hong Kong. Now that he is older, he played serious role. The young female lead actress is the one lead the movie. Here. Not going to give spoiler here, but this is the movie that will make you want to know next, what happen next, heart beating fast, one unexpected scene for Asian film :)=. This is the movie thst you and your friends will have some discussion after the movie end.

Watching this movie is kind of like dating a two pump chump or a girl who just lies there while you two are in the sack. This movie is absolutely filled with sex scenes. Probably more sex scenes than I've ever seen in a movie. The vast majority of which were quite boring and repetitive with no foreplay, sexual tension, or chemistry between the actor/actresses. The sex scenes were done so badly that I'd be more inclined to watch certain PG-13 films for their erotic value instead of this.

The main reason they were bad has got to do with the acting. There were scenes where you could actually see the actress transition from stage mode to acting mode. The transition at one point was so jarring that what was supposed to be a sweet romantic moment actually startled me instead. Part of it was the camerawork as well. There were plenty of sexy actresses in this film but the director/screenwriter didn't know how to use them.

If you didn't come here for the erotic value of it, well, the story doesn't exactly make up for it. The film relied on the sex scenes to make it good. And I don't mind that, being a huge fan of the anime Kiss X Sis, but if your main draw is having sex scenes and the sex scenes are boring, then you really did a bad job of making this movie.

This movie is honestly the most groundbreaking of all BLs I have ever seen. The fact that it touches the love between coworkers, people of a different age and also how hard being a good actor is, makes me think of it as a masterpiece. The feeling towards the main characters change along the plot which is definitely entertaining. The actual performence held on stage kept me on my toes, it was amazing. I dont want to spoil anything but Im going to go ahead and say that the bittersweet ending was also very emotional and that is why Im never going to forget it. I definitely recommend watching it.

Aw man, this was just too short... so this is what Wen Ning and his nephew did after they left Wei Wu Xian and Lan Wang Ji. Does that mean they will do a short extension of Wei Wu Xian and Lan Wang Ji in another short movie? I hope they bring back Wen Ning played by Paul Yu. I loved the way they utilize the chains as weapons for Wen Ning. Paul Yu did a fantastic job and hope to see an actual full drama following the same storyline! The visuals were dynamic, those chains though... I am also looking forward to seeing more of Zheng Fan Xing, he makes me smile with his smile. Oh my gosh, this was a great storyline still can't get over it!

Mr. Perfect starts pretty solidly, in the span of 10 minutes they fully set up Park Se Jin's character in an efficient and enjoyable manner. After that however, the story starts to meander into the realm of predictability.
A little disclaimer, I did not read the synopsis for this going into the movie. However by the time the brunt of the main plot began I could tell you the direction this movie was going and even guessed the ending.

The saving grace of this movie was the great cast. Thus far I've only seen Yoon Shi Yoon as the lead in Psychopath Diary, he absolutely kills it in that but I was still expecting less from him because this movie is 5 years old (and I thought it was 10 years old when I started it). He delivered a very endearing performance without speaking.

Next to him you have the amazing Yeo Jin Goo, who's character had the most range of emotions needed. He nailed every single one of them.

Any time those two were on screen together I forgot I was watching fiction and felt very strongly for the characters and their situation.

This is not a movie I'd rewatch, but I do know I'd recommend it to friends who enjoy heart warming movies.
